What Is the Gorilla Trekking Permit?
The gorilla permit is an official authorization issued by the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) that grants a single visitor access to spend exactly one hour with a habituated mountain gorilla family in their natural forest habitat. Why You Need a 4WD Vehicle
The road to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga is a significant drive from Kampala (8–10 hours) and involves both tarmac highways and unpaved, often muddy mountain roads. A standard saloon car is NOT suitable. A 4WD with high ground clearance is essential and will be required by most reputable car rental companies for this route.
